Mkushi
General Information
The vibrant town of Mkushi is situated in the Central Province of Zambia. This town lies on the Great North Road near the border of Tanzania. This town is well-known within the country for its commercial farms and this boosts its economy. Mkushi is located near two very popular tourist attractions, namely the Changwena Falls and Fort Elwes. The latter was built in 1896 by European gold prospectors.
Tourists also flock to this town for another reason: the annual sporting and cultural festival called the “M-Fest”. It is held at the Mkushi Country Club and includes live music, stalls, art and sporting competitions.
